Ulveo / Fire & Smoke Detection

FIRE & SMOKE DETECTION

Spot fire and smoke on the cameras you already have

Ulveo watches your existing CCTV around the clock and flags visible smoke and visible flame the moment they appear — so the right person hears about it sooner. No new sensors. No new hardware.

  • Works with existing RTSP cameras & NVRs
  • Smoke and flame labeled separately
  • Complements your fire alarms

Two scenarios, one pipeline

The same detection runs on both clips. Watch the labels appear as smoke and flame become visible.

REAL CAMERA CLIP

A home bedroom camera. Ulveo labels the smoke, then the flame, as each appears — and both at once when both are present.

AI-SIMULATED SCENE

A retail store. This scene is AI-generated to show a different camera angle and layout — it is a simulation, not real CCTV.

HOW IT WORKS

From your camera to the right person

No new devices. Ulveo sits on top of the video you already record.

01

Connect your cameras

Point Ulveo at your existing RTSP cameras or NVR. Nothing to install on the ceiling or the wall.

02

Watch every frame

Our always-on perception layer looks for visible smoke and visible flame, and labels each one separately on screen.

03

Alert with context

The right person is notified through channels such as WhatsApp, SMS, email or Slack — with the camera and the moment attached.

04

Follow throughPREVIEW

Our agent layer investigates what happened, decides the response and escalates if nobody acts. It's in development today.

WHERE IT FITS

Anywhere a camera is already watching

If a space already has cameras, it can have another layer of fire awareness.

  • Warehouses & factories — wide floors already covered by CCTV.
  • Retail & hospitality — stores, back-of-house areas and public spaces.
  • Healthcare & care homes — where a fast response matters most.
  • Offices, schools & buildings — corridors, lobbies and shared areas.

What this is — and isn't

  • It complements certified smoke detectors, fire alarms and suppression systems. It doesn't replace them.
  • It detects fire and smoke that is visible to a camera. Camera angle, distance, lighting and obstructions all matter.
  • Steam, dust and glare can resemble smoke to any camera-based system. The right test is a pilot on your own cameras.
  • The retail clip above is an AI-generated simulation. We don't quote accuracy figures from demo clips.
FAQ

Common questions

Does video fire detection replace smoke detectors or fire alarms?

No. Ulveo complements certified smoke detectors, fire alarms and suppression systems — it doesn't replace them. It adds an extra set of eyes by spotting visible fire and smoke on cameras you already have, so the right person can be alerted sooner.

Do I need new cameras or sensors?

No. Ulveo connects to any RTSP-compatible IP camera or NVR, so it works with the cameras you already have. There's no new hardware to install.

How do I get alerted?

Alerts go to the right person through channels such as WhatsApp, SMS, email or Slack, with the camera and the moment attached. Our agent layer, which is in preview, adds investigation and follow-through — including escalating when nobody responds.

Can it tell smoke from steam, dust or glare?

Steam, dust and reflections can look like smoke to any camera-based system, and how well they're separated depends on your camera view and environment. We don't claim it's solved for every space — the honest way to find out is a pilot on your own cameras.

Is the footage on this page real?

The bedroom clip is real camera footage. The retail-store clip is an AI-generated simulation and is labeled as one on the video. We don't quote accuracy figures from demo clips.
